dc.description.abstractBu tez, Türkiye'de etki yatırımı ekosisteminin gelişiminde devlet dışı aktörlerin, özellikle STK'ların, özel şirketlerin, vakıfların ve akademik kurumların önemini, özellikle Etki Yatırımı Danışma Kurulu (EYDK) örneği üzerinden analiz etmektedir. Etki yatırımının sosyal ve çevresel sorunları ele almak için bir yatırım modeli haline gelmesiyle birlikte, bu aktörler sermaye mobilizasyonunda, politika çabalarını harekete geçirmede ve sektörel kapasite oluşturmada önemli rol oynamaktadır. Tez, bu aktörlerin normal hayırseverlik uygulamalarından iş dünyasının girişimlerine geçişini ve böylece sosyal amaçlı yatırımların kapsamını ve etkisini artırmalarını açıklamakta ve Sürdürülebilir Kalkınma Amaçlarına (SKA'lar) ulaşmak için farklı bileşenlerin ortak çabalarını çağrıda bulunmaktadır. Ayrıca, tez, devlet dışı aktörlerin Türkiye'deki etki yatırımı ekosistemini düzenleyici yardım, kapasite oluşturma ve bilgi transferi yoluyla nasıl şekillendirdiğini incelemekte ve sermaye piyasalarına yönelik dönüştürücü aktivizmin bu tür yatırımların başarısı için hayati olduğunu vurgulamaktadır. Genel olarak, tez, sürdürülebilir kalkınma üzerine yapılan tartışmalara katkı amaçlamakta ve etki yatırımında devlet dışı aktörlerin artan konumunu tartışmaktadır.
dc.description.abstractThis thesis analyses the significance of non-state actors, especially NGOs, private companies, foundations, and academic institutions, in the development of impact investing ecosystem in Türkiye, particularly the Impact Investing Advisory Board (EYDK). Given that impact investing is becoming a mode of investment for addressing social and environmental challenges, these actors are instrumental in mobilising capital, activating policy efforts and building sectoral capacity. The thesis explains the transition of these actors from normal charitable practices to the undertakings of the businesses and thus improving the scope and impact of investments with social motives, and calls for joint efforts of the different constituents to address the financing requirements to achieve the SDGs. In addition, the thesis studies the way non-state actors condition the impact investing ecosystem in Türkiye by means of regulatory assistance, building up capacity, and knowledge transfer, stressing that transformative activism towards the capital markets is essential for the such investments. In general, the thesis aims to add value to the conversation on sustainable development and discusses the increasing position of non-state actors in the impact investment.
